START UP PSL Navegacao had commenced operations between Portugal and Angola, filling the gap left by Lin Lines, no longer in business, having chartered or otherwise disposed of its 10,000 TEU fleet.
The new company offers a regular liner service between Portugal and Angola as well as a feeder out of Luanda and connections to Brazil, reports Dynalainers. Served by two 2,100 TEUers, the rotations are Leixoes, Lisbon, Sao Tome, Luanda, Lobito, Namibe and back to Leixoes with two 600-TEU Angola feeders rotating through Luanda, Cabinda, Soyo and back to Luanda. Separately, CMA CGM/Delmas will upgrade its November 2013 launched Durban-Mozambique Rhino Express from one sailing every three weeks to fortnightly. The extended rotation will become: Durban, Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Pemba, Quelimane, Maputo and back to Durban.
