Ruscon starts Moscow-Russian Far East 154-TEU block train service

5/14/2014 9:02:22 AM

GCS Group member Ruscon has commenced a weekly fixed-day block train service from Moscow to the Far East of Russia, operated by a 154-TEU capacity train.

The service departs from the MANP Terminal, southwest of Moscow midday every Saturday for Khabarovsk. It arrives in Khabarovsk on Tuesday afternoon. After discharging, the train returns with import cargo to the European part of Russia.

The company soon plans to launch container trains from Moscow to other destinations in the region, offering sustainable connections between central Russia and its remotest eastern points.

GCS, one of the top 10 container transport companies in Russia and the CIS, acquired the MANP inland terminal in 2006 and has invested heavily in both rail and hard-standing infrastructure as well as creating bonded warehousing.
