THE second run of the Xi'an-Kazakhstan Cargo Railway, which is called the 'Chang'an Line', set off with 15 TEU on December 28 2013. Compared to the first run of the service, the second one added Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan and Turkmenistan as destinations beside Kazakhstan, Xinhua reports.


The second train run departed from China's major northwestern city Xi'an via Xinjiang's border checkpoint Alashankou to Kazakhstan border city Dostyk, where the cargo were sorted and reloaded onto trains respectively bound for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. The train stopped at nine stations in these four countries.
